8 x 10 inch cardstock photograph of the pioneering African-American musician known as the ‘Father of the Blues,’ who wrote such hits as ‘Memphis Blues’ and ‘St. Louis Blues.’ Handy is shown smiling broadly and holding a piece of his own sheet music and has boldly signed and inscribed in blue ink and dated 1956.
