Autograph Musical Quotation
An AMQS of the open cello strings from the influential Spanish cellist and composer, the leading student of Casals who also studied with Ravel and de Falla. He was one of the last great composer-performers and many of his idiomatic works for cello continue to be performed today.1 page, dated 1931 Manchester and signed additionally by conductor/composer Hamilton Harty who adds his rather own strange AMQS to the page. The two performed together at the Hallé Concerts Society on February 26th, 1931. Signed quotations of Cassado are very uncommon. (6670)
