Neatly penned AMQS from the influential Italian composer. A measure marked "Calmo" to be played "ppp senza vibrato" and with mute, from his 1951 "Due Pezzi" for violin and piano. On manuscript paper, 21.5 x 14 cm.

The first performance—by pianist Seymour Lipkin and violinist Lorin Maazel, to whom the work is dedicated—took place during the 1952 Tanglewood Music Festival. (6668)
