Original CDV photograph of the legendary Polish pianist. By Ernst Milster of Berlin, with photographer's imprint on verso. In very fine condition.The most celebrated pupil of Thalberg, Tausig was also a student of Franz Liszt at Weimar, who described his technique as "infallible." His busy touring schedule weakened his health and he died of typhoid at age 29. (6402)
