Vintage Postcard Photograph of Ainu Mukkuri Player
An unusual vintage postcard (9 x 14 cm) photograph of a traditional Ainu musician playing the Mukkuri, a Japanese instrument indigenous to the Ainu. Made from bamboo, approx. 10 cm long and 1.5 cm wide, the Mukkuri is similar to a jew's or jaw harp, the sound produced by pulling the string and vibrating the inside.
