Paris: Enoch & Cie.. 1947. 1re Rhapsodie Romaine (La Majeur). Partition. Pocket edition score of the First Romanian Rhapsody. Small quarto (14 x 18cm). 91 pp. [PN] 6058. Enescu composed his brightly colored Romanian Rhapsodies Nos. 1 and 2 in 1901, both built on authentic folk tunes. They were introduced together in Bucharest on March 18, 1903 when the composer was just 21 years old. The first Rhapsody is probably the composer's most famous and beloved work. (6283)
