Attractive original real photo postcard, signed by the marvelous mezzo-soprano, star at the Met from 1925-1935, who began her career with her sister, Rosa, singing in vaudeville as the "Ponzillo Sisters" and later recorded on Columbia.

Photograph Inscribed "To Mr. Winslow Best wishes Carmela Ponselle 1933." 5.5 x 3.5 inch full-length portrait. The postcard has been used by Ponselle, advising Winslow to "Please write to the Metropolitan for autographs" and apologizing for not having a program. New York, February 1933 (5801)
