Casals, Pablo. (1876–1973)

Series of Three Early Original Photographs

Rare early images by an unidentified photographer of the great Spanish composer, conductor, and cellist, one of the most influential musicians of the 20th century, also well known as a humanitarian.

A fine original grouping of three different 1916 sepia photographs of the younger Casals, all from the same session, showing him with his cello and in two relaxed poses, smoking a cigarette. Each 4 x 6.25 inches and in fine condition. (5764)
