Fine glossy postcard photograph, boldly signed and inscribed in dark blue fountain pen ink in the lower blank margin by the incomparable French pianist. Cortot has also penned and signed a short note on the verso ("Here is the photo you so kindly requested - the only one that I have at hand - and with my regret for not having others with me on my trip to Munich and with my thanks for the roses! Please accept my most cordial sentiments, Alfred Cortot"). Very fine. (5687)
