Typed letter, signed "Artur Schnabel." 1 page, on his personal letterhead. Dated 16-6-37 and addressed to Dr. Sluzewski. In fine condition. 20.9 x 27 cm. In German, translated in full:

"This time it will be unfortunately not possible for me to accept your friendly invitation, since I remain really not longer than three days in England, and of that, one day will be spent in the country. In the autumn, however, I will come for a longer visit to your new homeland, and then the opportunity for a meeting in your house will be certainly more welcome. With many greetings to you both, also from my wife, your very devoted, Artur Schnabel." (5631)
