Original Ilse Bing glossy photograph of the Austrian/American pianist whose Schubert and Beethoven recordings are beyond compare. Signed, inscribed and dated 1946. A few creases (one moderately strong across the top inch of the image), overall in very good condition. Good signed photographs of Schnabel are elusive.His teacher, Theodor Leschetizky, once told him: “You will never be a pianist. You are a musician.” (5592)
