Signed Costume Photograph as Isolde

A fine signed postcard photograph of the Russian dramatic soprano, one of the greatest singers of the Golden Age, in costume as Isolde, the role in which she made her Covent Garden debut in 1899. A student of Viardot, she debuted in Paris in 1880 and toured with Victor Maurel. A star at all the major venues, she sang Les Huguenots and all the major Wagner roles at Met. Signed in her usual purple scrawl and in fine condition. 8.5 x 13.5 cm. (5370)
