Horne has signed and inscribed the page in black ink "To Edna- Thank you for your very sweet interest - always, Lena Horne." The poem reads in full: "She has cute dimples in her cheeks, / and a twinkle in her eyes,/ Which makes those who really know her / Shout her praises to the skies. / She has a ready, beaming smile, / A sincertiy that's rare, / And the real warmth of her greeting / Has a very special flare. / Her universal beauty / Shines like a beacon of light / That seems to flow and make her / Most precious in His sight." 9 x 12 inches (23 x 30.5 cm) and in very fine condition.
