Red boards backed with white parchment spine, in the original printed red dust wrapper. Jacket chipped along top edge, but otherwise fine throughout.

Carmen was first performed on March 3, 1875 in Paris and remains one of the best-loved works in the operatic repertory. John Galsworthy was an English novelist and playwright, whose notable works include The Forsyte Saga (1906—1921) and its sequels, A Modern Comedy and End of the Chapter. He won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1932. (5088)
