An unusual signed libretto from the great Italian composer and pianist, who inscribes on the titlepage to the influential conductor, Vittorio Gui (1885 - 1975): "Al carissimo Vittorio Gui, con antica ammirazione, con antica amicizia. Maggio 1972, Luigi Dallapiccola." 48 pp. In very fine condition.

With Petrassi, he was the most significant Italian composer of his generation, wrote marvelous, lyrical 12-tone compositions full of impressionistic textures, two major operas (Il Prigoniero, Ulisse), and was teacher of Berio and Rands among other leading composers. (3663)
