Original 1877 London "Wagner Festival" Program

A remarkable original program from the third of Wagner's 1877 London concerts at Royal Albert Hall. The composer conducted excerpts from both Tannhäuser and Die Walküre, with an orchestra led by Wilhelmj which had been prepared by Richter and Dannreuther. Program has been fixed to a larger page, together with an original photograph of the Royal Albert Hall and a CDV portrait of the composer, a contemporary newspaper review, and an original ticket for this historic event. Program (8.25 x 10.5")has one horizontal crease, is moderately toned, but otherwise in very fine condition. (3651)
