Vanity Fair Portrait Print, "The Music of the Future."

A fine chromo-lithograph caricature of Wagner published in the English weekly magazine Vanity Fair on May 19, 1877. The composer is shown poised on a chair and conducting. The portrait is by Sir Leslie Ward, known as "Spy," the most famous of the outstanding caricaturists who published in the magazine. In excellent condition, 15 x 10.5 inches. (3636)
