A remarkable and unusual signed musical quotation from the innovative and influential American composer. Probably from Cage's “Variations I," which the composer described as "a highly indeterminate piece" where "the straight lines are the various parameters of sound and the points are sounds." In blue ink, on a card measuring 11 X 14 cms. One tiny stain, crease along bottom margin, overall very fine. (3541)AMQS Classical Music
