An interesting letter of thanks from from the celebrated soprano, addressed to Monsieur Z. Bandint. 2 pages, integral address leaf. On her monogrammed letterhead. A few small pinholes, one tear not affecting text.She discusses an upcoming trip and notes that her young daughter - only five and a half years old - cannot yet take advantage of his offer.
A student of Bordogni and Catalani, she was the creator of the principal soprano roles in Rossini’s Le siege Corinthe, Moïse, Le comte Ory and Guillaume Tell, and in Auber’s La muette de Portici, and Meyerbeer’s Robert le diable (Isabelle). (3453)
