A beautiful original 8 X 10 inch glossy photograph, in very fine condition and boldly signed by the celebrated Yugoslav-Hungarian violinist. A pupil of Jeno Hubay in Budapest, the great pedagogue said that "young Virovai plays so beautifully as to astonish even me." (Time Magazine, 11/14/38) Virovai signed the present photograph in 1940, two years after his U.S. debut with the New York Philharmonic at Carnegie Hall on November 3, 1938. (3409)
