"Cendrillon" Ballet Stereoview Card
19th-century stereoview card issued by the New H Series, "Diablerie, Operas, Etc." and titled "Cendrillon - Les Diamantines." Light spotting, slightly curled but overall fine. 6.9 x 3.5 inches (17.5 x 8.8 cm.).The opera "Cendrillon" (Cinderella) - billed as a "fairy tale" - in is in four acts, with a libretto by Henri Cain. Composed in 1894–95, it was first performed at the Opéra-Comique in Paris on 24 May, 1899. The present photograph illustrates one of the short ballet pieces within the opera. (2831)
