Signed photograph from the great violinist. Boldly inscribed in white ink by Heifetz to Remo Bolognini "with all good wishes" and dated New York, 19345. An original Fayer photograph, mounted to hard backing with integral matting, overall 23 x 29 cm. Areas of glue show-through on image, small tear to lower right corner, light silvering. With defects, but still a striking image with a remarkable dedication.


Remo Bolognini, generally regarded as one of South America’s greatest violinists, studied with Ysaye and was concert master in Buenos Aires under Kleiber and Ansermet. Beginning in 1937, he was concertmaster of the NBC Symphony Orchestra under Toscanini. (2223)
