Unbound upright folio. In unknown hand. One bifolium of music paper by Lard-Esnault, Paris, with 16 staves per page. The extant bifolium was the outer bifolium of the first of probably two signatures, otherwise lost. Fol. 1r: title, with dedication to Camille Pleyel; composer's first name misspelled "Georges"; fol. 1v: Secondo part, beginning; fol. 2r: Primo part, section of the second movement; fol. 2v: Secondo part, end of second movement and beginning of finale. Pagination in pencil, probably later. 13.5 x 10.5 inches (34.5 x 26 cm). Horizontal fold in the middle, partly detached; outer edge frayed.

The origin of the present manuscript is unknown. It is certainly not autograph. Most likely it is based on an early edition of the work. Viviane Biaux in Oxford Music Online, s.v. "Onslow," lists the work as "Grand Duo 4 hands" and dates it "c1811", with 1812 as the publication date. Breitkopf & Härtel, however, published it around 1826 as "Grande Sonate" (PN 4324). (21787)
