Large format booklet The Story of Judy Garland inscribed on the cover "To Harold/with my deep admiration and lots of love thrown in/Judy" and additionally inscribed by Sid Luft who has dated the program December 2nd 1952. 12 x 9 inches (31 x 23 cm); with a portrait of Judy Garland to the cover, the booklet illustrated with photographs by Richard Avedon and others. Minor handling wear, an old glassine jacket is present, possibly original, which has small losses.

An extraordinary program inscribed by Judy Garland to Harold Arlen, composer of "Over the Rainbow", the Wizard of Oz song that made her a legend. This program was issued shortly after Judy Garland's performances at the Palace Theater in New York in 1951 and was inscribed to Harold Arlen late in 1952. A fine association between Garland, who played Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz and Arlen, composer of the film's famous score and much of the American songbook. (21687)
