Autograph Letter Signed - "I have the pleasure of sending you my 'Berceuse'"

ALS by the Polish pianist and composer, who lived in Brussels from 1892, to publishers Mackar and Noël, Paris. In French. 1 p. Bifolium. Brussels, August 20, 1894. "I have the pleasure of sending you my 'Berceuse' in the next few days; today I would like to inform you, as I promised, that the German publishers Bote & Bock in Berlin will get this work published within the next four weeks. Is it necessary that the work be published in both countries at the same time? What do you think?" With note by the recipient, sideways to recto: "Answered August 22 [18]94, sent the copyright transfer for signing, and later we will send our contract." 8 x 4.75 inches (20 x 12.5 cm).

The Polish pianist, composer, conductor and teacher was born in Lublin, the younger brother of the famous violinist Henryk Wieniawski. After Franz Liszt, he was the first pianist to publicly perform all the études by Chopin and he appeared with Liszt in recitals in Paris, London, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Brussels, Leipzig and Amsterdam.
