An interesting association copy from the American writer, impresario, art connoisseur, and cultural figure in New York City who, with George Balanchine, founded the New York City Ballet (first known as the "Ballet Society") in 1948. With the bookstamp of Monroe Wheeler, former Director of Exhibitions and Publications at the Museum of Modern Art, and his lifelong companion, writer Glenway Wescott.  (21501)
