"Viva La Musique" Signed Photograph
Signed halftone photograph of the legendary jazz singer and civil rights activist shown in seated pose, ca. 1987. She has signed and inscribed at the head in purple ink "Nina Simone / Viva La Musique." An identical inscription in same ink (also including an AMQS) may be seen at ninasimoneproject.org and is dated by them to 1987. Evidently removed from a concert program and measuring 8.25 x 11 inches (22 x 28 cm). Two mat remnants on verso from prior mounting, else fine. Signed photographs of Simone are notoriously uncommon.
