Original Richard de Grab photograph of the great guitarist playing his instrument, together with an autograph quotation signed reading, translated from the French, "The guitar is like a small orchestra seen through backwards binoculars: equally rich in tone but a smaller frame. / Andrés Segovia / 1965 / Paris."  The quotation is written to verso of Hotel Vernet stationary.  From the personal collection of the Czech photographer,  known especially for his many fine portraits of performing artists.  Light toning to photograph margins; else in very fine condition. Autograph quotation 6.75 x 8.8 inches (17.1 x 22.4 cm.); photograph 7 x 4.5 inches (17.8 x 11.4 cm.). (20595)
