Collection of Prints

Collection of seven 19th century colored prints, several of which depict French actors and actresses, taken from various books, including one print after the Dutch engraver Jan Luiken, a pair of lithographs from Decan of Paris, and one design from Louis Morin.  Overall in fine condition.  Six approximately 5.5 x 8.75 inches (14 x 22.2 cm.), one 6 x 10.25 inches (15.2 x 26 cm.).

"Costume de Mlle. Carline, Rôle de Julie dans les Étourdis, ou le Mort Supposé."  Engraved.  No. 36 in a series, hand-corrected to 34.  Small areas of spotting, overall in fine condition.

"Costume des Rois d'Egipte.  D'après Luiken."  Engraved.  No. 34 in a series.  Moderate foxing, overall in fine condition.

"Melle. Luther, rôle de L'Amour dans Un Mariage sous la Régence."  Lithograph.  Decan No. 521, ca. 1850.  In fine condition.

"Mme. Rose Chéri dans Manon Lescaut."  Lithograph.  Decan No. 558, ca. 1850.  In fine condition.

Uncaptioned lithograph by H. Louis Morin depicting one of the King of Prussia's grenadiers.  Faint pencil marks to lower margin, overall in fine condition.

"Louis Philippe 1er. / Roi des Français."  Pencil marking to lower margin dates the print to 1850.  In fine condition.

"Lord Carnarvon."  Engraved.  Mounted to sheet measuring 6 x 10.25 inches (15.2 x 26 cm.).  In fine condition. (20512)
