Signed doubleweight textured photograph of the Welsh writer and actor, who has inscribed "To Paul / best wishes / Emlyn Williams" in black ink. In very fine condition. 8 x 10 inches (20.3 x 25.4 cm.).Williams is perhaps best known for his semi-autobiographical play The Corn Is Green, based on his childhood in the coal-mining town of Mostyn. The Broadway production starring Ethel Barrymore opened in November of 1940 and ran for 477 performances.
