Signed Recital Program from the 1988 Festival Internacional de Santander

Bifold Spanish language program from a Monday, February 1, 1988 performance at the Centro Cultural Kostka in Santander, Spain.  The Hungarian pianist has boldly signed in blue ink to the front cover.  The performance, presented by the Asociacion de Amigos del Festival Internacional de Santander, included works by Bach, Mozart, Schumann, Bartók, Debussy, Rachmaninoff, and Scriabin.  4 pp.  In fine condition.  4 x 8.25 inches (10.2 x 21 cm.).

Born in Budapest, Sándor studied under Béla Bartók and Zoltán Kodály at the Liszt Academy.  His relationship with Bartók would continue for the rest of the composer's life; Sándor premiered two of Bartók's works, including the Piano Concerto No. 3, and was one of only ten people who attended the influential Hungarian composer's funeral.
