Signed photograph of the Hungarian pianist, who has inscribed "Para el Sr. Mauricio Talmer— / Saludos cordiale de Buenos Aires, 1967 / György Sándor" in ballpoint pen.  Mounting remnants to verso, else in fine condition.  7.75 x 10 inches (19.7 x 25.4 cm.).

Born in Budapest, Sándor studied under Béla Bartók and Zoltán Kodály at the Liszt Academy.  His relationship with Bartók would continue for the rest of the composer's life; Sándor premiered two of Bartók's works, including the Piano Concerto No. 3, and was one of only ten people who attended the influential Hungarian composer's funeral.
