Signed Clive Barda of London photograph of the Austrian conductor animatedly leading an ensemble with baton in hand.  Böhm has inscribed "To Mr. Juscik cordially Karl Böhm" to the lower margin.  Photographer's stamp to verso.  In very fine condition.  5.5 x 4.25 inches (14 x 10.8 cm.).

Before studying at the Vienna Conservatory, Böhm had followed in his lawyer father's footsteps by completing a doctorate in law.  He is most fondly remembered for his performances of Mozart, Wagner, and Richard Strauss. (19820)
