Moscow: Isdatelhstwo "Iskustwo". 1965. Signed volume from the Soviet-born ballerina, choreographer, director, and actress who embodied the Bolshoi Theater in the second half of the twentieth century.  She has signed boldly in black ink on the title page "Maya Plisetskaya" Unpaginated.  Black and white illustrations throughout, text in English, French, and Russian.  Hardcover with illustrated boards.  Corners bumped, upper cm of spine perished, else very good.  8.5 x 10.75 inches (21 x 27 cm.).

From the library of Paul McMahon, a critic, photographer and artist who worked for more than 13 years touring with Marlene Dietrich as the icon’s stage manager, announcer, dresser, secretary and escort, and later spent 25 years as an arts and entertainment reviewer and photographer with Gay Community News, Esplanade, Tommy’s Connection, The Mirror, Bay Windows and other publications.
