Original Nicholas Muray bust portrait photograph signed by the German-American conductor with his name alone "Hans Lange" in blue ink.  Very fine.  8 x 10 inches (20.3 x 25.4 cm.).

Joining the New York Philharmonic in 1927 as a violinist, Lange began conducting in short order, becoming assistant to Arturo Toscanini.  From 1936–1946, he served as Associate Conductor of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. (19619)
