Elusive signed photograph of the leading violist of his time, a member of the London String Quartet and the NBC Symphony under Toscanini before embarking on an unprecedented successful solo career as violist. Vintage glossy 8 x 10 inch J. Abresch of NY portrait photograph of Primrose, signed and inscribed in fountain pen to the prominent Canadian violinist Isador Desser of the Toronto Symphony and the Canadian Hambourg Trio: “To Isador Desser, with all good wishes from / William Primrose."
