Signed Photograph in pre-Broadway tryout of "Camelot"

Signed photograph of the American actor and singer performing as Sir Lancelot, the role that made him famous, in Lerner & Lowe's 1960 musical Camelot.  Goulet has inscribed "Good luck Al / Robert Goulet."  Photographer's stamp to verso identifies photographer as Will Rapport, a theatre and dance photographer active in the Boston area, this photograph having been taken during the out of town tryout before the show opened on Broadway.  Rippling to upper and lower edges, else fine.  8 x 10 inches (20.3 x 25.4 cm.)
From the collection of Paul McMahon, a critic, Boston photographer and artist who worked for more than 13 years touring with Marlene Dietrich as the icon’s stage manager, announcer, dresser, secretary and escort, and later spent 25 years as an arts and entertainment reviewer and photographer with Gay Community News, Esplanade, Tommy’s Connection, The Mirror, Bay Windows and other publications.  (19264)
