TLS from the important English composer to a Mr. Marson regarding an expected and erroneous announcement.  1 pp., Dec. 11, 1902, on stationary for "Birchwood Lodge, Near Malvern", marked Private.: "Dear Mr. Marson,/ I believe you will receive an official communication from the Society regarding the paragraph which has appeared lately concerning the conductorship./ The statements made were without authority, and, I believe, inaccurate; our ideas regarding the date of the concert did not quite coincide,--and as the society is a private one, I do not see why the matter need have been referred to at all. Yours very truly, [Signature]."  Vertical and horizontal crease, else fine.  On 8 x 10 sheet folded in half to 4 x 5 inches (10.2 x 12.7 cm.).
