Original 8 x10 inch photograph of the pioneering American modern dancer and choreographer, boldly signed "Martha Graham" in black ink with her name alone. The photograph is by Martha Swope, official photographer of New York City Ballet, Martha Graham Dance Company, and Dance Theatre of Harlem whose portraits have become iconic images of 20th-century dance. Nicely matted and framed to 21 x 25.5 inches overall.Unexamined out of frame but in apparently fine condition, a somewhat uncommon uninscribed example. (18870)
