Autograph Signature

Scarce signature from the important Russian cellist and pedagogue penned on a yellow album sheet and dated 1971.  Together with halftone photograph from unknown publication.  Mounting remnants to verso, else fine.  Autograph page 5 x 3.75 inches (12.7 x 8.9 cm.).

Garbousova had a great European career before settling in the US in 1939. Barber, Rieti and Rathuas all wrote major works for her and she introduced works by Creston, Hindemith, Lopatnikoff, Martinu and Prokofieff. (18796)
