Signed card from the cellist and conductor along with two half-tone photographs clipped from unidentified publications. Fine. Card measures 3.25 x 2.25 inch (8.2 x 5.7 cm.).
Hans Kindler was principal cellist of the Philadelphia Orchestra for many years and gave first performances of works by Ravel, Schoenberg and Busoni, who dedicated an arrangement of Bach's Chromatic Fantasy and Fugue for cello/piano to him. He founded the National Symphony Orchestra in 1931 and was its conductor until 1949.
