A signed original program for the famous Soviet clown and circus artist, including numerous richly printed sepia gravure photographs and a short essay in English about the "Sunshine clown." 10 pp, 7 x 9.75 inches (17.8 x 24.8 cm.), light toning on cover and wear around edges, else fine. Ca. 1960.In 1955, Oleg Popov became the first clown from the USSR to perform in the Western world. In 1969, he was honored with the title of People's Artist of the USSR. (18467)
