"Out of This World" – Signed Souvenir Program

Souvenir program for Cole Porter's 1950 musical Out of This World, signed by director Agnes de Mille, choreographer Hanya Holm, star Charlotte Greenwood, and many members of the company, including William Eythe, Priscilla Gillette, William Redfield, David Burns, Barbara Ashley, Janet Collins, George Jongeyans.  The program was also signed by Barton Mumaw, whose signature is dated "Jacob's Pillow 7/21/92".  20 pp., 9 x 12 inches (22.8 x 30 cm.), light surface creases and wear along spine and edges, middle page has come free of staples, else fine.

Out of This World opened on Broadway at the New Century Theatre on December 21, 1950 and closed on May 5, 1951 after 157 performances.  Staging was by Agnes De Mille, additional direction by George Abbott and choreography was by Hanya Holm.  The cast featured George Gaynes as Jupiter, Charlotte Greenwood as Juno, Priscilla Gillette as Helen, David Burns as Nikki, William Eythe as Art O'Malley, and William Redfield as Mercury.

From the library of Paul McMahon, a critic, photographer and artist who worked for more than 13 years touring with Marlene Dietrich as the icon’s stage manager, announcer, dresser, secretary and escort, and later spent 25 years as an arts and entertainment reviewer and photographer with Gay Community News, Esplanade, Tommy’s Connection, The Mirror, Bay Windows and other publications.  (18465)
