Scarce signed photograph of the great American bon vivant, actor and pianist, shown here at the keyboard and signed with his name alone in blue ink. Some light fading in the lower right hand corner, three small nicks on the left edge, mounting remnants on verso, else fine. 8 x 10 inches (20.5 x 25.8 cm).A student of Schoenberg, Oscar Levant was a close friend and important promoter of George Gershwin and played the role of himself in the Gershwin biopic "Rhapsody in Blue."
