Glossy 8 x 10 photograph of the legendary conductor of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra (1938-48) and of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra (1953-1962), flipping through an orchestral score and wielding his impressive baton. Boldly inscribed and signed in green ink "For Rev. & Mrs. Robert Gillespie, cordially, Fritz Reiner./ Pittsburgh, Nov. 1945." Some light wear along the edges, with two tiny nicks in the left side, overall fine. (18269)
