1955 Souvenir Program SIGNED BY MANY

Original New York City Ballet souvenir program, titled inside "The Ballet as Photographed by Radford Bascome," including numerous black and white photographs of principal dancers, some of which are signed in pencil and ink, including André Eglevsky, Francisco Moncion, Herbert Bliss, Roy Tobias, and Jacques d'Amboise. 9 x 12 inches (22.86 x 30.48 cm), some moisture damage and foxing to covers and handful of interior pages at edges; otherwise very good. Several of the portraits are inscribed to Paul McMahon, whose ownership signature appears on front cover.

From the collection of Paul McMahon, a critic, photographer and artist who worked for more than 13 years touring with Marlene Dietrich as the icon’s stage manager, announcer, dresser, secretary and escort, and later spent 25 years as an arts and entertainment reviewer and photographer with Gay Community News, Esplanade, Tommy’s Connection, The Mirror, Bay Windows and other publications.
