Two candid photographs of the American actress and icon, who is shown wearing a sparkly dress and carrying a fur wrap. In one photograph she is looking to the right while holding hands with an unseen man; the second photograph shows her signing autographs for a group of fans. Very fine. 3.5 x 5 inches (8.8 x 12.8 cm) and 3.25 x 4.5 inches (8.3 x 11.7 cm).From the collection of Paul McMahon, a critic, photographer and artist who worked for more than 13 years touring with Marlene Dietrich as the icon’s stage manager, announcer, dresser, secretary and escort, and later spent 25 years as an arts and entertainment reviewer and photographer with Gay Community News, Esplanade, Tommy’s Connection, The Mirror, Bay Windows and other publications.
