"Printed USA" in upper right corner. 20 x 25 inches (51 x 63.5 cm).The artist was the son of pianist Laura von Beckerath and vintner Rudolf von Beckerath, who were friends of the composer. In addition to the present portrait, Willy von Beckerath made numerous other portraits of Brahms, all from life. (17994)
