Signed photograph from the the Soviet-born ballerina, choreographer, director, and actress who embodied the Bolshoi Theater in the second half of the twentieth century. She is shown in street clothes, coming out of a stage door with a bouquet of flowers in her arms, and has signed and inscribed at the left to Paul McMahon. Double weight photograph with some light buckling at the left; overall fine. 10 x 8 inches (25.3 x 20.4 cm).

From the collection of Paul McMahon, a critic, photographer and artist who worked for more than 13 years touring with Marlene Dietrich as the icon’s stage manager, announcer, dresser, secretary and escort, and later spent 25 years as an arts and entertainment reviewer and photographer with Gay Community News, Esplanade, Tommy’s Connection, The Mirror, Bay Windows and other publications.  (17943)
