Signed program from the supreme Russian violinist, who appeared at Symphony Hall as part of the Boston University Celebrity Series on April 1, 1962.  The lengthy program included works by Vivaldi, Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, Paganini, Stravinsky and Wieniawski.  Milstein has signed boldly across the program listing.  Shadow from the signature on the following page; otherwise very fine.  6 x 9 inches (15 x 22.5 cm).

From the collection of Paul McMahon, a critic, photographer and artist who worked for more than 13 years touring with Marlene Dietrich as the icon’s stage manager, announcer, dresser, secretary and escort, and later spent 25 years as an arts and entertainment reviewer and photographer with Gay Community News, Esplanade, Tommy’s Connection, The Mirror, Bay Windows and other publications.  (17919)
